Nazaryan Institute was started in honour of Armenian war hero Dimitri Nazaryan. The university located in Yerevan, Armenia was established in 1988. It's known for its modern infrastructure and participation in international programs. The university has a strong focus on producing competitive, morally grounded graduates who are committed to democratic values.

The history of Nazaryan Institute began in 1988 when it was originally established as "Nazaryan school of business". The name was later changed to the "Nazaryan institute" we know today in 1997, when multiple new faculties were added to the university. 

Its motto is "Studium Pretium Libertatis"- Knowledge is the Foundation of Freedom."

Nazaryan Institute offers students a high level of education, international programs, practice-oriented teaching. The training of highly qualified specialists is provided by lecturers with international qualifications.

Nazaryan Institute consists of schools of Business, Law, Media, Technology, Architecture and Design, Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences, Tourism, Medicine and Healthcare Management, Economics, Education. The University has the right to award academic degrees of Bachelor, Master, Doctor and Medical Doctor to the graduates in accordance with the rules established by the legislation of Armenia. The university has a training center and offers a variety of certification programs.

Nazaryan Institute has been cooperating with various universities around the world since its establishment and currently has 300 partner universities in 71 countries. This fact allows the university to receive foreign students and lecturers, have dual degree programs, as well as exchange programs for students, academic and administrative staff. Consequently, students are given the opportunity to participate in exchange programs. They travel abroad intensively, and at the same time, citizens of other countries study with us.

98% of Nazaryan Institute graduates and 80% of students are employed in both the private and public sectors, as well as in international companies and organizations throughout Armenia and around the world.

The Nazaryan Institute Campus, with its modern infrastructure and equipment is one of the largest higher educational institutions in Armenia and in the region.

The building is historic, built in 1909. In 1911-1924, an Armenian seminary functioned in this place. The building has been under renovation for several years and the historic monument has been preserved as much as possible. All parts of the former seminary that could be restored were restored.

Nazaryan Institute has been implementing educational programs in Gyumri in the field of Tourism, Law and Economics since 2010. Construction of a new Nazaryan Institute campus in Gyumri has already started. The building will be equipped with modern infrastructure, a library, laboratories, sports fields and a swimming pool. A student dormitory will also be built. Nazaryan Institute campus in Gyumri will offer undergraduate and graduate programs. Two new majors will be added to the Gyumri campus - Nazaryan Maritime School and Culinary Academy. There will be a training center at the university as well.
